Top Early Learning Centers Educational Programs

"Advances in brain research show that children are born learning and that their first years of life impact the success they experience later in school. Early experiences that are nurturing and active … create a brain with more extensive and sophisticated neuron structures that later determine intelligence and behavior."

From Neurons to Neighborhoods:
The Science of Early
Childhood Development

We take this information to heart and have designed educational and developmentally appropriate programs for all our children – ages 12 months to 5 years. Our curriculum is so much fun, children don't even realize they are learning! We only use research-based, proven materials and delivery methods, ensuring positive outcomes for every child. The majority of activities are chosen based upon the interests of the children, keeping them engaged and asking lots of questions. This helps them learn to problem solve, cooperate, be independent and confident — ultimately preparing them for school and life success!

Many children do not get enough to eat every day and others don't get enough nutritious foods. That's why meals and snacks are so important at TOP. We want to make sure TOP students eat well when in our care. Each TOP Early Learning Center is equipped with its own commercial kitchen where two delicious meals and one snack are prepared each school day. All meals meet the minimum daily nutritional requirements of the children.

Meal times are part of the learning experience at TOP. They are served family style in the classrooms and the children eat side-by-side with their teachers and classmates. Children learn:

  • The importance of washing their hands before coming to the table
  • How to set the table
  • How to pass and serve food
  • Table manners
  • What each food item is
  • To try new foods
  • How to clean up their dishes
  • The importance of brushing their teeth following a meal
